We asked ourselves a simple question:
What if social dancing was truly social again?
What if people could dress up, gather together, enjoy beautiful music, share food and conversation, and step onto the dance floor without needing a partner, years of training or a complicated set of rules?
Neo-Regency was born from that idea.

The Neo-Regency Principles
- Walking Pace
- The dance should never require running, rushing or high-intensity movement.
- Participants should be able to comfortably converse and socialise throughout the evening.
- Formal Wear Friendly
- Movements are designed to accommodate gowns, suits, corsetry, heels and formal attire.
- No jumps.

- Neo-Regency focuses on group formations rather than couples.
- Participants move as a room rather than as isolated pairs.
- Scalable Design
- The dances expand and contract depending on attendance.
- Four dancers may form a square.
- Five or more dancers may form a circle.
- Larger groups may divide into multiple circles, formations or interacting groups.
- The structure adapts naturally to the people present.

- The focus is on spacing, formations, transitions, timing and shared movement rather than technical complexity.
The Music Experience
Neo-Regency is designed so the music guides the room.
Between dances, the space is filled with gentle ambient background music.
Not silence.
Not a performance.
Just soft sustained sound that keeps the atmosphere alive while guests talk, eat, drink and mingle.
Then, after a brief pause, a signature melody begins.
Guests hear the tune, recognise the dance, finish their conversation or last sip of wine, and make their way onto the floor.
Each dance is built around a predictable musical structure:
• 2 minute introduction loop
• 3 x 2 minute dance loops
• 2 minute reverence and wind-down loop
This creates a complete dance experience lasting around ten minutes.
The music becomes part of the culture.
Part of the tradition.
Part of the shared language of the community.
The goal is for people to hear a melody and immediately think:
"Oh, I know this one."
